In other news - the girl is sleeping like a champ. Two nights ago (January 4th) was the first time in her little life that she spent no part of the night in bed with me. She has slept in our bed every night! And she did last night too... but that one time she spent all night in her crib. It all depends on how I feel at 3am - do I feel like rocking and sitting up for 20 minutes or do I want to go lay in my warm, comfy bed and bring the chubbs with me. It's no wonder the second option wins out.
She goes down around 7p, sleep until 11:30 wakes up for some cuddles then back to sleep until 3ish for some more cuddles then back down until anywhere between 6-7a. She also naps like a champ! HUGE naps in the morning and one quick one in the afternoon around 4.
6 months - that is about how long it takes for life to return to normal status. Last night we had a couple over and it felt SO GOOD to be social again! I told Matt it's sneaky because as soon as our kiddos sleep I start feeling like, huh.. I could do something.. I could add something to this.. a class? a job? But thats madness and it won't happen. Instead I'm going to craft, meet with girls and organize my house!
Matt and I have a new tactic and it's working beautifully - Z wakes up at night... she has been for the past 9 months at least once a night and she wants us to come in and tuck her back in and/or lay down with her. We've cracked down on the laying down with her because we just fall asleep and it's hard to manage with the both of them. So new strategy: Matt deals with all Z night wakings and I deal with all Ana night wakings. In the morning we compare notes. We both live secret seperate lives at night that the other one knows not about.... who said marriage can't be exciting and full of mystery!?
