In May Chick finished prek! Here are her first and last days:
Although pure madness when Ben was a wee babe - I'm so glad that we sent her off to prek. The teachers were so great and she ended up doing tons of really fun things that I wouldn't have had the energy or resources to provide for her. They had an open house during the last month where we could come and see all the artwork she did that year. Here are some of my favs:

Soooo there is an extra baby in this picture? or a dog?

Texas!!!

I love how here she only had to connect the dots but took it upon herself to draw a person playing the guitar.

Graduation day!
Z was really upset to find out that schools take a "summer" off. She really didn't understand why she couldn't keep going to school. She was also sad to find out that she wouldn't go to the next grade at her same school. Believe me! I wish she could - I love that school and I can walk to it - but I also don't have $7,000 to lay down for my 5 year olds education.
We could chose to keep Z home another year based on her birthday before sending her to kindergarten. But, this kid is kindergarten ready! Matt has been doing math lessons with her recently and also time (because if she doesn't learn to tell time soon I'm gonna go crrrraaaazzzzzy). And besides, if we don't send her by the time our kids get to high school we would end up having a freshman, sophmore and junior. That seems a little nutso.
