On Conversations with Mimi and our yard.

Mimi was here the past weekend and during the Mimi report - we found about about this little gem:

Mimi and Z reading Cinderella.
Mimi: "Would you like to get married some day Zoe?"
Zoe: "Well, when I grow up and meet a man, I'm going to say, 'Did you hear about the Gorgmans?'"

1. the gorgmans is a silly zoe/daddy tickle game that gets played almost daily.
2. WHERE did she learn the language, "when I grow up and meet a man!?" !?!?!?

In other news, we've been taking to the outside much more lately, especially in the afternoon since Texas has decided to take mercy on us and be acceptably hot. Since we don't have a yard - we make due with what we have.

Eating our snack, outside.

I just leave the door open and Z and Ana wander in and out. They like to sidewalk chalk the ground and black fence. Entertains them for looooong periods of time.

Zoe's garden
There is also a spot of grass (the only spot of grass) in our condos in the front. It faces an insanely busy road and there is no fence but Zoe is a champ and knows not to go anywhere near the street. She calls it her garden and we spend a lot of time there lately. She likes to roll in the grass and look at bugs and be a little kid. Going to this spot makes me really happy and while we are there I pretend it's a yard where my children become children of nature. le sigh. A portion of it has a bunch of trees clumped together which Z refers to as, "the woods."

The Woods.
She desperately wanted to climb a tree ( "como Tigger and Roo?") so we made Daddy climb a tree and then I somehow manged to lift her way over my head and hand/throw her to Matt. People probably thought we looked crazy!

Climbing trees with Daddy

Making do with what we have!!!
