(Norman Vincent Peale)
Christmas with little kids is probably the most fun thing, ever. Kids - like - presents and at least at this stage everything they get is a total surprise. Zoe didn't ask us for anything (except a princess castle from Mimi). She didn't ask for a bike, I just anticipated the fun and decided to get it. Ana didn't ask for a swing, we just know she loves them and so we gave her one. Little do they know the two were tag team gifts - in order to not run over her sister on the driveway, we will hang Ana from the trees and entertain her in her swing so she won't fuss to ride Z's bike. (how impossible is that anyways!?) In addition Z got 2 new "game books" - which are really preschool reading/math books and Ana got her own set of crayons and a sprial with blank paper in it. There is no blank paper in this house for that girl to create! Z got new paints and a pair of prek scissors. Ana also got her favorite book of all time, Arroro Mi Nino and Z got a helmet.

Stockings are the most fun though. I. Love. Stockings. They hold so much! And how proud was I of displaying my most favorite thing I've ever sewn ever!? - Ana's sweet stocking.
Ana never really got excited about anything past her stocking though - because it contained her favorite thing in the world (besides her sister) - FOOD. They got fruit juice fruit snacks and packs the girls call "apple sauce" which is really a fruit/veggie blend. I'm going to go ahead and ride that train for as long as it lasts.
Christmas morning consists of lots of laziness.

| In case you didn't catch that sweetness in the last pic, let me blow it up for you. |
And by laziness I mean sugar induced comas. I made these bad boys - which the girls don't eat because Zoe claims to "not like cinnamon rolls." ... what? So instead I half the MJ roll recipe and make rolls out of half of it (Z does like these though, I think she had 5) and I make cinnamon rolls with the other half. Mmmm. Sooooooo gooooooooood.
Matt and I "just do stockings" although for both of us this year that required us to get an extra bag because all our giftings wouldn't fit in the stocking. You can only shove so many boxers/socks into an oversized sock. And Matt, surprise, got me this rockin pajama set. Don't be jealous. Also don't be jealous of Matt because of how hot his wife looks 30 weeks pregnant with a head to toe body suit on. Bright red - just to make sure you see it. I laughed hysterically about this and have continued to laugh about this - a lot. It is sooooo cozy. And yes - those are foxes on the feet.
We've had Christmas with my fam and perhaps the most exciting thing was receiving a small jar of Chai Tea mix. Matt immediately consumed this and wanted more. And not just a little more - he wanted to be able to make chai tea with abandon. And so we created this shortly after coming back into town.
It really is disgusting if you step back and think about it. You don't even have to step that far back.
We've been relaxing! Or at least I have - Matt has been busy with this in the backyard. A Christmas gift for the girls!
They absolutely love it and want to be outside all the time. I guess they didn't get the memo about how it is WINTER and their momma hates to be cold. I refuse to go out before 1030am but I've been trying to be a good sport about it.
And Ben is ever growing. 9 more weeks. Hopefully. Next week we have an apointment with the plastic surgeon's office to get answers about feeding issues when he is born and surgery schedules. The person with annnnnsssswwweeerrs. I'm pumped about this appointment.
