Christmas 2012: Bring it.

I. am. finally. done. with. Ana's. stocking. Oh Joy!

I started in December - with high, very high, hopes to have it done in time for Ana's first Christmas. Fail. Instead, I finished at the end of February. But I'm so excited for Christmas now! It took awhile because I was 1. working with no pattern and 2. stiched all those crazy squares together myself!

I've never actually sewn anything this big (I know, it's not actually that big) but one day I decided I wanted to do it - and so I did. I messed up big a couple times - I accidently made my 2nd section of squares (I would sew 9 together at a time to have panels) smaller than the first so I had to decide which size to go with (I went with the smaller). And, when I was sewing the back panel, I sewed the plush part on the wrong side so when I turned it right side out the backing was on the outside! Oh brother. But I finally pulled it together. Working one MJ Sunday at a time. Slow but sure, wins the race.

I'm so proud of myself! And it's beautiful and sweet...just like my Ana girl.
