Week 12, Day 2

A lot has happened since the last post. The bean has successfully survived a week of finals and been to Egypt and back! The trip went well! It was easy to realize that I didn't have near the energy I would have if I were traveling solo. Half a day of sight-seeing was all I could take. I walked slowly and felt faint and dizzy and hungry - but it was all worth it! I avoided all tap water in Egypt and also didn't eat meat while I was there (well, Egyptian meat.. I did have chicken from Chili's and KFC). I also didn't eat vegetables for the most part and I was anxious to eat some sort of healthy anything by the time we got back. Besides one migraine mid trip and getting sick on the cross-Atlantic coming back, the bean did great. Truly I don't think either one of those had to do with the pregnancy solely - I didn't sleep very well - or much - and both of those greatly effect my overall disposition.

We have a another doctor's appointment this week - at the doctor who does the low-risk pregnancy version of genetic testing. I think we'll have a sonogram - what fun! Maybe it will look like a baby now... who knows whats going on in there.

I bought a shelf from Target today and was quite dismayed when I realized I had no way of getting it inside my house once I got home. It's pretty heavy. I'm not opposed to groceries and laundry - but I think this one is out of weight range which is pretty sad - because now I have to wait 5 hours for Matt to come home from work so he can carry my shelf inside. So silly.

8 more weeks until we find out what we're having!
